As I start to read more on the internet, listening in on technology rants, observing the way people move about the web and use its tools, it is absolutely clear to me that you cannot do this without a base set of tools (over time I’ll discuss these tools here). And one key tool is the good old RSS reader. Now I’ve been through a number of RSS readers, but for all the free ones, OMEA is a damned fine product from those guys at JetBrains. With its aggregation and syndication capabilities and its firefox 1.5 plugin, its simple choice for windows users.
Now I have to find a similar beast for my Linux boxes. Anyone got any recommendations?

Surprisingly, I’ve actually written one
You may want to check it at:
http://www.stardock.com/products/blognavigator/
Granted it has a few quirks as it’s not been touched in a while and it was written in delphi with thsir net library being less than stellar, but if you actually try to read through some of the tutorials that you will find in the default blog, you may find it having a few unique features.
One of those days I surely will rewrite it to .net, now I”ve not checked Omea in a while, I used it at 1.xx level but by then it seemed that they were heading a bit of a different path than BN
btw, BN pro can also post to Wordpress adding spell checking and a few formatting and image/file uploading/embedding speedups. If you decided that you may want to try the posting, just give me a shout on Skype.
